• A private testing, just for Nirali, without registering in national donor registry, is available at cost ($154). You can call 1-800-915-3695 or visit http://www.bonemarrowtest.com. The Results take 21 to 28 business days.

Become an active volunteer

• If you are ready to take up the call for save Nirali toll free number let us know, since we have a system which directs the call to various volunteers who are registered for receiving the call. Depending upon the load but in general you would get probably 2 to 3 calls in 4 hours. Also the receiver has an option to accept or send the incoming call to voice mail.
• since calling party would ask you various queries ranging from eligibility, donor process, what is bone marrow; one needs to go through sites such as marrow.org to get familiarity with the terms
• Register with savenirali google group savenirali@googlegroups.com and start answering questions that people might have or at least follow whats going on in the group
• We are reflecting all the drives targeted for South Asians on savenirali.com website across US. If you come across new one let us know and we shall update it or if you want we tell you how to edit the information on savenirali.com website.
• If you know there are events, social gatherings in the places near you; you could organize a drive or let us know about gatherings and we would organize a drive. In order to organize a drive you need SAMAR/AADP technicians (if they are busy we could find alternate volunteers so let us know), clean place (tent for Park), chairs and some volunteers to deal with logistics.

Our 18 month old daughter Nirali Naik has been diagnosed with a rare type of Leukemia. The only hope for her survival is a bone marrow transplant from an Indian donor.

Being a minority community in US, finding a bone marrow match is very rare (unlike blood group matching). The only way to improve the chances of a match and Nirali's survival is to sign up for a simple test to check your marrow type. The test for marrow match is very simple - an oral swab!. And it is absolutely FREE for minority races. If a match is found then a simple procedure is performed on donor to draw the bone marrow and there is no long term effect.

Please consider saving a child’s life. There is no bigger gift you can give to anyone.
